      My suggestions:
Best helpers: Functions/Code that you can copy to your own projects to simplify things (like random terrain/map generation, an inventory system, an Exp system

Best external projects/helpers: something like emulating keyboard inputs via Raspberry Pi etc.

But I guess my second suggestion would result in a very small amount of entries :0)
Can't wait to see the first competition(s)!

The Map Editor is a good start, but I think a fundamental requirement would be to provide some kind of visual clue of the drawing dimensions that fit on the Switch display, especially since dimensions are not displayed in the program.

I think showing a customizable passepartout around the center of the camera view would be a useful feature. If you're making a game that runs at 960x540 resolution, you would set it to that size and it could display a rectangle representing the boundaries of your game area. The next best thing currently is to do ZL+R3 and set the camera zoom to your game resolution (if listed). Then you can see what fits on the screen at that resolution.

Thats not a bug. When the program is running, pressing minus takes a screenshot capture and uses it as the project thumbnail. The stutter you're seeing is just that background process running - the Switch only has so much of everything to go around.

PS: ..and yeah QR codes contain less data (also more redundant) than these images.

You can of course write programs for the Switch in engines such as Unity, and I'm sure many more (I don't claim to know them all). That isn't at all the issue here.

I'm going to lock this thread for a while now because it's just getting very off-topic now.
