Well there is a patch due but it has been delayed. Yes the Player is released but I wouldn't download as it it breaks friend sharing at the moment and there is the Wireframe magazine competition
They could show us but then they'd have to kill us as it's confidential ;)
Seriously though, I'm sure it's something we'd all love to see but I wouldn't hold your breath.
@Willpowered would that be both problems ? meaning the weird array index (for loop value) you can get after a while if you reuse the same name for a for loop variable in global and local scope and the stackoverflow with exhausted variable space when using c=controls(0) in local scope, or only the last one ? The test kat did, used a workaround for the 1st problem by not using for loops at global scope and placing them in an init function so i'm not sure that issue is also addressed (see very first post for example code that triggered this after about 5000 iterations)
@MagAffenMatze Hi
A great place to start is to learn how to draw text to the screen.
If you head into the code editor and hit the help button and search for
text handling
print()
printat()
drawtext()
the docs will guide you and you can even highlight the code and copy it
then paste the example code to run it.
Once you got the hang of printing text to screen, positioning scale ect
you'l want to start looking into controls.
There are some great video tutorials to help guide you also these should give you
the first building blocks towards your goal.
i personally use a very cheap (12 euro) hdmi usb capture stick. I connect the hdmi cable of the switch to this usb capture card and i can view the switch screen on my pc using windows 10's standard camera app and then i can record and take pictures using that app as well. I even code like that in fuze on my pc so i can see switch / fuze screen as well as my normal pc stuff.
Yes, just move forward at a comfortable pace, for sure! Once you get a feel for things, you can keep a list of these ideas. Then, as you're going through the posts your likely to find the solutions to these problems. I saw that someone created a virtual file system, due to the fact that you technically can only have 1 file. So, the strategy is to break the file into the parts you need as separate chunks inside that 1 file : )
@pianofire Thanks! Wow, what an ordeal! Have to go to Discord and can't get to Discord. Then, I think I saw an older video that had different instructions on how to be able to share a project. Thanks to you, I was finally able to get to Discord and find the proper instructions!
OMG : ) That makes sense now. I didn't even think about L and R there. I found another strange way... If you go into one of the Tools items and select a code project it will remember what you selected when you cancel out and go into Code. Leave it to me to find a weird way to get there ... hahaha!
@HeavyByte I only meant to try and offer a parallel. I didn't mean to suggest an opinion on it, sorry.
Actually, the idea that a fuze player owner could IF SWITCH Friends with you could have access to your shared fuze programmes via the player is not something I would fault at all and perhaps that specifically had not been considered?
A Merry Christmas to everyone on Fuze team and it's wonderful community! Thank you all for the amazing support thus far and helping me when I needed it. One of the best gift I have ever received was the opportunity to become a part of this!
