Hello everyone,
As you may have seen in my previous post, I wanted to do my own game jam type thing. Well because of the mostly possible responses to that post,I welcome you to...
TIGER GAME JAM!!!If you decide to participate you will have till December 5th 2020 to reply to this post with the details of your game.
The theme is city. You must make a game with a city as the theme.
Such as
- City Builder
- City Simulation just with moving cars, trains etc
- A game where you just walk around a city and talk to npc's
- Any other City based game that you can think of!
- Any game that you already have that includes cities also qualifys.
I really do hope you do decide to participate.
So lets get this competition started!

No i do not intend to stream the event. However I will send a post saying the competition is over. I will also send a post and possibly make a video showing some of my favorites.

this is so new to me what I'm doing... might have to back off this game jam and release it later as a full game... it's taking too long to get it to a playable state... look in the future for it!

Well this is disappointing. There are no game jam entries... Unfortunately the competition has ended. If anyone is working on something that meets the theme post it on this thread. 😭 Tigerboy

@tigerboy3050 Please, don't let it get you down. 1st your game jam theme, city, is superb. 2nd I think most of us cut off some time from their sleep to participate to the game jams and/or even cannot make it to attend all of them, even they wanted to. So, maybe it was just to early to do more game jams.

Wanna add, as you obviously really like the theme of "city", don't undererstimate your own power to make your own game in a similar style! You might want to start with something smaller though(I always recommend following and modifying the FUZE game tutorial as your first own project). However, from a grid-based platformer it is not even that big of a stretch to a grid-based city builder.
The point I'm trying to make is, I'd love to see you using this experience as a starting point for your own game creations! -
Whoops! I completely missed it. Tiger, I know you were wanting some sort of city building game. I have something you might enjoy but it needs a few tweaks. For some reason I thought I had infinite time for this. Obviously that’s not true though, why would I even think that?

@tigerboy3050 sorry about the disappointment... but I'll definitely make you that game! it's just so new what I'm doing and I wanna give you as good as I can make it... besides I've always wanted to make a city building game :). It's been an experience and I enjoyed creating this little project so I'll definitely finish it! look out my download code in this thread!

@toxibunny @JMM161437 That's great! I also have a Tiger Game Jam 2 planned 😏! But yeah i'd love to see these games. Also like i already said feel free to post any new games, tools, simulators etc. on this thread (as long as they're somewhat related to the theme.)

@tigerboy3050 I do have a small game I'm kinda working on that has a small village on an island you can shop at and stuff... still need to fix a few bugs but it's playable if you want that code
