How do you reset a variable?

I am trying to make a save system, and I am trying to add a feature to reset the name you saved, so how would I do that? I was thinking that one way to do it would be to reset the variable, but I’m not sure how to do that

Depends what your saving, for a hi score I'v used a separate button press to save over an existing save so it goes back to zero. So for your case a blank name or dots or player enter name here.
