Love that jumping action! The character reminds me of the robots from the old Smash advert

I got the game, played through the levels. I had various ideas: trampoline springs, rotating levels etc. Then I saw this video:
and decided to implement some of the control enhancements described there.After the control changes I thought I would add some enemies to make it more challenging again, and also to give something to shoot at with the laser. I picked spiders for this role since waldron provided a wonderful sprite in the project and I was able to place spider web with the map editor. The spiders follow the points in a loop, repairing their web and get in our robot's way.
I think I'm done with it now. It is shared with the ID: HAUM3MND9L (pending) -
@gothon man I'm excited to play this later :).
-
I will not be able to add more during the week, so I am sharing now: HKW33MNDHB (pending).
I added some simple sound effects (such as while braking). I tweaked the controls a little, to make it easier for me to do some of the existing levels.
With the robot being on a wheel, it makes me see potential for bigger levels to drive through and build up speed. I added the option to make bigger levels, with one example.
I nominate for the title: ROLLTRON

I got the thing, I guess we'll see if there's a way to bring the "two become one" thing back

I've friend shared this week's work
@toxibunny it's yours to finish now -
Thanks very much. I’ll have a look at it tonight :)

Okay, so I’ve been having a really hard time getting anything done lately, so I kept my goals very modest. Lucky, because the game was pretty much finished already. I tweaked the controls (as I always do), and the animation, and put in a very basic persistent high score. Turns out the high score code didn’t work properly though, so I fixed that today (hopefully)
The ’final’ version has been shared and submitted, currently pending. Code N5YLANNDND.
Final thoughts? I really like the game. It’s fun to play as-is. It would be great for the high score challenge. There is also a lot of room for extra polish and features. I had fun with this one :)
