Totally Accurate Tennis - Pong Fighting Game (live)
-
I'm currently making a pong fighting game called Totally Accurate Tennis which is inspired by smash bros and other fighting games, i'll update you all on the game using this post :)
Currently looking for characters or/and items to add to the gameTo Do List:
Fix AI for bomber (WARFLAGS) assist trophy
Start making skatey cat's AI (melee assist trophy)It was surprisingly easy
Nerf skatey cat, it's overpowered
Make paddle AI react to assist trophies (somewhat reacts right now)
Create item that increases your speed, I already made the sprite
Add rumble pulses for immersion
Create golf in space assist trophy (orbiting golf balls as an added shield to the ally and grab and throw if the enemy gets close to the KOable ship. )
Add claw combine ball item, you'll be able to push these around and merge them to get better healing (no merge: 4, 1 merge: 16, and 2 merges: a whole life back) these will also slightly move towards the nearest ball.Made it a throwable attack item instead
Add more non-AI items
Make a "final smash" ball
Create final smash attack for players with an animation placeholder
Create final smash animationCode:

I dunno what it is but it sounds epic

I finally reached a version i'm happy with, it's a bit smalller than what the full game is going to be, but when it's approved, it's going to be really cool.

Love the effects, nice job

@monkeee thanks! I stole the effects from super mega arena blaster lol, made the game like 100x better, it's a really good particle system.

working on a update and cleaning up code, the last thing I'm going to do is add stages (and hazards) then the game will be mostly done. honestly the UI will probably be the hardest part.... I wonder if someone has made a UI Library. Edit: I made one (took a while), and i'm converting all of my ui over to my new system

Update: im still here lol, rn im just trying to recreate the whole game from scratch to try to make it much less glitchy and optimized and actually readable. It’s going pretty well so far
