select squares in a 3x3 grid with control stick

Hi, I am working on a game where I need to select values in a 3x3 grid. Starting location is the center square. When I push the stick to 3 oclock, l want to select the left square, when push to 1 oclock it selects the top left square. Can some one show me the logic for this?
