Introducing the FUZE Catalogue beta
-
As part of the ongoing development of Fuze arena, I am pleased to announce the first version of the Fuze Project Catalogue.
https://fuzearena.com/catalogs
Inside you will find a searchable comprehensive list of all publicly shared projects, including download keys, screenshot, author and more.
Please take a look, and leave some feedback below

This is a really good idea. Why do we have to claim our projects, can't it just be taken from the author name linked to the project? Anyway I tried claiming mine and got the following message:
"Please upload a project with the name then reload this page to continue."
So I guess this isn't working yet.
Overall this seems very usefully and a great way to find other people's games that I might have otherwise missed. -

This is so that your arena user gets credited correctly for your games. The names in the games never match to the forum usernames. There are multiple Mikes, Daves, and so on.
Anyway I tried claiming mine and got the following message:
"Please upload a project with the name then reload this page to continue."
So I guess this isn't working yet.I don't see an upload in the logs. It has to be a new project specifically named as stated in the claim page, then shared for the server to pick up to confirm your claim.

Awesome thanks I'll get mine sorted later

@mikedx my quote was the exact quote ie no name was given, so I haven't tried but I don't think I can make an unnamed project.

That's odd... let me go investigate!

Oh wow!! That's very cool indeed!
but I'm not fond of seeing the download numbers. Imagine putting your heart and soul into a game and only 2 people download it. Nooo! -

The page should now correctly give you your unique id :)

Also until now there was no easy way to let others know about your project, so now you will be able to share a link to your project page on social media, messenger apps and so on.

@MikeDX i may have found a bug. When going to a project page it does not mention the nr of downloads. It only says "download times" almost like a wrong variable was used to display the number of downloads that i think should be visible

Fixed!

@mikedx might have found 2 other small things:
when i goto any of my claimed projects i see the followng:
- list itemThe share status seems to be disabled which i think is normal however it always displays "private" in that combobox even if the project is public
- The checkboxes for enable ratings and enable comments do not save, and i see no submit or save button or so. It's possible this part is still under development though :)

@stevezx81 well that's 2 more then mineXD
-
@mikedx thanks that has fixed it.
My son has made a few things that he'd like to claim, but he doesn't have a Fuze Arena account, is there any way for him to claim them without creating an account? -

WHAT WHAT WHAT?
this is incredible.. to have a single place where everyone's creations are showcased - seriously awesome! sounds silly but it feels like an E3 moment to me haha (now I want to see a Fuze News video with Dave being enthusiastic about this for 30 minutes straight :D)
-
@MikeDX how reguarly is this updated ? once a week, once a day, realtime ?
Also the download numbers, are these only counted when people download by code or also from showcase gallery and such ?
-
…and how about the Fuze Player? Are those downloads accounted for?
-
Great idea! I have 2 different nintendo profiles I’m using, so I guess I’ll have to do some transferring and resharing, but am definitely impressed with this new feature. What a nice surprise! Time to have a browse through and see what’s out there :)
Just a thought though - do we really need a list ranked by downloads? It doesn’t seem like a healthy metagame to me. Or maybe I’m overthinking things. I dunno.
-
If you push out an update for a game does the download count reset? How about if you re-share a game with the same name but with a different download ID?
