FUZE GAME JAM #2 Entry list
-
Amazing stuff. What a treat! So much to learn from, so many awesome ideas :)
-
Loop Clear() If FuzeGameJam3 == false then Print(“Can we get another fuze game jam please???”) Endif Update() Repeat
-
Good call - If Mike is up for it then i'd say it would be a great idea - especially as we're likely to have a bit more coding time on our hands soon!
Hmm.. How many people will throw in 'Virus' as the theme?!
-
@LinkCraft I was joking on discord yesterday about instead of a game jam we have a FUZE PRO-AM competition where the fuze team pair up with members of the community and make a game. Not sure about another jam right now, since there are changes in 2.15 which could potentially break things, and most importantly changes in 2.15 which improve fuze in terms of scope and stability.

Pro-Am? Doooooo ittt!!!
-
@Jonboy Now that was a game! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zarch

Pro-am sounds fun. I just want something to do because I’m stuck at home for now and fuze game jam came to mind.
-
I think a game jam is a better idea for this current period. The Fuze team is pressured currently and we wouldn't be able to devote the time we'd like to right now. Plus, there are a small number of us and a much larger number of you users! GameJam is less restrictive.
I love the idea for the Pro-Am however and at some point I'd love to see this happen.
-
I'm happy to do a new gamejam once 2.15 and the player is out. There isn't much point with the changes coming
-
Is there a estimated date that it will be out?
-
@LinkCraft As soon as possible. It's very hard to to say an estimate and I wouldn't want to sell anyone down a river. We're working very hard on it and we'll keep everyone updated.
-
One more question is any reason that anyone with fuze should download the fuze player once it’s out
-
@LinkCraft I don't think so. There won't be anything that you can do in the player that you can't do in the full version.
-
@LinkCraft Colin is spot on here. The Player has no features as such, other than being able to play and see FUZE creations without having to buy the main product. It allows you, the coders, to get your projects in front of a far larger audience. This is why the requirements for submitting projects to the Showcase Gallery are so strict - The FUZE Player allows users to see but not edit the project code. The main FUZE app is also being updated to support the Showcase Gallery and as such there is no need to download both.
