Masking looks the real tricky part...
But ..... you're almost there. -
@faz808 Piece of cake! Though I think there is an error in the tutorial. Just format and version info to go!
-
-
@faz808 So there is the HELLO WORLD QR Code. I won't publish the program yet as there are still some bugs to iron out
-
@pianofire Wait you wrote a qr code gernerator? Thats awesome i cant belive was much work wasnt it ?
-
@petermeisenstein It has taken a few weeks. A lot of the work was re-keying lookup tables!
-
@pianofire Do you made it out of your brain from scratch or do you had to look also in the internet ?
-
From the Internet. The full specification is about 200 Euros: https://www.iso.org/standard/62021.html so I didn't bother with that
This was very useful:
-
@pianofire Well you are a genius. incredible work you have my full respect. Very nice.
-
@petermeisenstein No the geniuses are the people who come up with this stuff. I just followed the instructions!
-
@pianofire
Modest to the last! Excellent work mate brilliant -
Well done. Brilliant work. How can you top that?
-
Any news on the bugs?
-
I have fixed a couple today but still not quite there
-
@pianofire Take your time I am also very excited about it
-
-
Wow, respect how you diged through that qr standard. Great!

Latest WIP is Live: NX8N5HMDNN
There are still issues around byte encoding and longer messages. It doesn't help when the 2 references produce different results!
-
@pianofire Extremely well done - but I should add that you did 99 per cent of the work!
What's next pianofire ? -
@faz808 Well you inspired me to do it and found that rather excellent tutorial so without you it wouldn't have happened. I still need to figure out why longer codes aren't working and sometimes byte encoding even with shorter ones. As I said the 2 references do not always produce the same results even though both work! This seems odd to me unless it is just the error correction kicking in
