I have found some more tables but I think by entering these I won't have to try to understand the maths so I don't mind keying them!
-
@faz808 Now have ploynomial division working with no clue what it does!
-
I thought everyone knew what Polynomial long division is . .ho ho ho ...
Polynomial long division is an algorithm that implements the Euclidean division of polynomials, which starting from two polynomials A (the dividend) and B (the divisor) produces, if B is not zero, a quotient Q and a remainder R such that. A = BQ + R, and either R = 0 or the degree of R is lower than the degree of B.
Don't understand a word of it but well done sir.
What the difference between ploynomial division and Polynomial long division? -
Seriously, how are we doing?
-
Well this is the next bit https://www.thonky.com/qr-code-tutorial/structure-final-message
-
But for our short message we could skip straight to here: https://www.thonky.com/qr-code-tutorial/module-placement-matrix
-
At least it doesn't look like there's any maths involved. Just bit placement.
-
I'll have a go later if you want ..
-
@faz808 If you would like to but don't feel obligated in any way
-
Thought I'd just enter the data via Fuze's Image Editor as a starter but "The software was closed because an error occurred". Memory leak? Too many projects - 21?
ReBoot - same error. I wonder if it's because I'm running a Switch Lite. Should I try deleting earlier projects?
So near yet so far …….. -
Map editor crashes as well !
-
There was a known issue when an image was deleted that was in use by a map. Is that a possibility?
-
Never used the map editor - well certainly not recently.
I'm so keen to move forward that I'm going to enter the data using Paint.
Reduced the text size to 22 and the full 104 bits now fit on the Switch's screen so hoping to get a readable QR code on the computer screen. -
I had the same image/map editor crashing problems (boy did I!) and there are a couple of workarounds that seem to work (most of the time)
1: create a new project, fill it up with 10-20 lines of just // comments and save it.
2: load the image editor but select an image for a different project than the one that started the crashing!it the above do not work then try this.
delete 3-4 programs (if you have any you don't need. I had lots of different testing ones, so no big deal to delete some) then go into the image editor and make a new image for a different project (draw a couple of lines/anything) and save it.one of those should fix it for the time being. fingers crossed.
This really does need patching as it seems to be totally random and can drive you batty! -
No luck I'm afraid after deleting 6 or so projects.
-
Damn. that is so frustrating. Can you remember the last thing you did before it crashed. did you delete an image?
-
It's OK now ! Don't ask me what happened 'cause I haven't a clue. Must have been too many projects and Fuze need a minute or two's rest !!!
-
That is great news!
-
@faz808 Entering the data into Paint was no go. Would have taken years...
Back to the Image Editor now I've got that working. -
