Blob demo from PS2 Yabasic
-
Since my previous submission garnered some interest, here's another demo ported from Yabasic PS2. This one is BLOB

There are a few other demos left:
- 3DBALL
- 3DCUBE (probably not worth it)
- FOUNTAIN
- WORMGAME

Nice. What’s yabasic like? I never used it...

@toxibunny Yabasic is a BASIC dialect just like FUZE's programming language (It is much less advanced though and can only handle very simple graphics and maybe has sound? Not sure.) and back in the early 2000s, Sony published a version of Yabasic for its Playstation 2.
It came with a few demos to demonstrate its capabilities, and I decided to put them on Fuze, partially because it's fun and helps me familiarize myself with Fuze (hopefully it will help others as well!) and partially because of preservation :)

I loved yabasic so much. It was one of my favorite ps2 game. I remember this demo very well :D I will downoad all of yours once I found my switch again (it is in a box in the middle of a tons of other boxes so, it may take a day or two).
Every console should have a software like Fuze or Yabasic. As a kid when you found that and you know what it is, it's just mindblowing.By the way did you know why Sony shipped the ps2 with a copy of Yabasic in the demo disc distributed with the console ? Taxes :) They could call the PS2 a kind of "programmable computer", and pay less taxes doing so.

@romain337 Yes! I completely agree with you! And I knew (check my other Yabasic post) and I think they did the world a favor by doing it! (The in-game documentation was pretty nice as well!) I'll also tag you in any future releases if you're interested! :)

Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
