When you're in the map editor, F5 starts the game. That would be great for quickly testing map changes... the only problem is, the current changes to the map are lost. The game starts with the map as it was last saved.

Workaround: Just press -/ESC before F5, that saves the map and is almost as fast.

What would be super is if F5 would start the game from any point of the UI and return to the point you left of, with all UI settings unchanged, such as active map layer or pen color, when you stop the game again with F5 or it exits regularly (errors should throw you into the code editor, I guess).

I’d love a way to break out of a running program back into the code editor, change something, and then resume the program where it left off. For ease of use/quality of life reasons, similar to yours.
