I Still Haven't Forgotten You Guys...
-
I just wanted to let you know I still haven't forgotten you guys. F4Ns actually came into my life at a very dark time and helped motivate me to do something with my life and all I was missing was the knowledge of the game loop.
Now I'm the proud owner of the website over at [link removed] and I've got 7 apps on Google Play, 5 of which are playable games. I will provide links if anyone is interested.
I believe I posted a thank you post a long time ago but if not this is it. To the admins and developers of F4NS thank you for giving me hope. I was homeless and lost and once I picked up Fuze it awakened a lost and forgotten knowledge I had of coding from the years of Myspace being the "thing". I also used to dabble with Pokemon Rom hacking but didn't really realize I was "programming" because I was too young then.
After high school I ended up broke, homeless, diagnosed with mental illness, and lost... Not knowing which path to take in my life, I thought I would die out there.
After picking up F4Ns I turned my life around. I realized my life's purpose was coding and making video games. I still haven't exactly made any money from my games but as I'm a diagnosed schizophrenic its not a big issue because most of my financial burdens are taken care of now. I used to spend everything I had at the beginning of the month just to try to make myself happy with things like computers, games, the Switch, and use those things to last me all month entertaining me while I was homeless.
People kept robbing me but I was persistent with it, I continued to buy tech tools and try my best to find my purpose in life. No one understood what a homeless man needed a laptop or a smart phone for but without those things I would've never learned. Without the Switch I would've never found F4Ns and without F4Ns I may have never realized that I had a purpose in life.
I plan to start making money from my games, soon, but I have to make my own type of company/ logos/ branding and I've got an idea for that as well and I'm working on a REALLY badass project in Unity right now if anyone is interested in checking it out...
I will be doing alpha tests for this project soon, I'm working on implementing the AI for the NPCs and some other things to make it playable as a sandbox type of GTA murderous mayhem type of thing and then I'm going to work on a full blown story to teach myself how to make cutscenes in Unity.
If anyone would like to play this, help me with it, or just connect in any kind of way please let me know. I am welcome for helping people with any kind of projects they have that they are working on. If you want to connect better so I can try to help you with projects in the future shoot me a direct message and let me know.

I want to add that I have had a stable roof over my head for almost a year now... The Nintendo Switch actually helped me figure out my budget for the month as I have a fixed income so I decided I needed to figure out a budget to be able to eat all month and also still be able to do stuff that I wanted to do... Budgeting really was the last of my concern when I was homeless. I was depressed and suicidal, honestly, I just wanted to be happy with life and felt I had no purpose so I would make as high of a purchase that I could to try to fill that void and I could never fill the void until I found programming... It gave me hope for a brighter future and I started looking for places to rent that I could afford. I had a friend help me most of 2020 with a place to stay, I found F4Ns in late 2019 before the Pandemic hit, and then once it hit I started focusing on different forms of computer programming languages since F4Ns showed me I basically understood what I was doing and could understand programming.
Eventually I found a couple of places I could afford on my fixed income and now I'm working towards making my own money with these indie games... The only issue thus far has been licensing for the copyrighted stuff I'm using but I've spoken with a licensing manager for Psychopathic Records who has said $10,000 is basically what I'm aiming for to use their stuff for profit which is probably doable with a Kickstarter. I also plan to hopefully start my own branding before that happens to help me pay for it a little bit... If anyone would like to support any of this it would be majorly appreciated to help me get on my feet a little better. I am willing to help form a team as well that wants to form a company and release GTA like games or just any other type of games underneath the company title if anyone wants to... I can also help you put your learning of Unity on fast track and show you some of the best tutorials that are out there for that. I have always planned to come back to F4Ns and make a good game but I am currently eyeing more serious ventures to try to get my life back on track.
I have schizoaffective disorder which is actually alluded to in my name. It gives me grandiose delusions and other things like thinking I'm God or that I'm Neo from the Matrix and that I'm following a White Rabbit into a rabbit hole so deep I'll never get to the end... Thats what led to me being homeless. I didn't know my head from my a$$ for a good while but now I'm doing much, much better and hoping to maintain that in an upward motion or at least a steady stable pace.

What an amazing story! And you write really well, you should pitch it to a magazine or something!
I’m happy to hear that you seem to have gotten your life back on track. And that it was thanks to Fuze! That’s incredible!
Good luck with your games! And keep us posted on how it goes.
