Where does Fuze4 save your projects?
-
@Ancientspark yes, essentially the idea is just to use the cloud to keep the same project updated beewteen devices, so for example if i have the project on pc and switch and i edit it on the switch i will have the modification applyed to the pc automatically
-
Ah.. I ALWAYS forget the CLOUD.. I understand it but I take it for granted it's actually something real and in use all the time now. I grew up with 8 and 5.25" floppies, and 3.5" floppy diskettes.. even tapes.. then CD-ROMs.. I'm still grasping that all of that is gone now. Having physical media also taught you to CARE for your things and keep them clean and neat and organized... all of that is GONE. but yeah.. I totally get what you are saying and I ALSO AGREE.. use clouds throughout a PC and Console FUZE system and allow for continuous updating and synchronization.
-
@Ancientspark I grew up with cd-roms and 3,5 " floppyes and game cartidges, the could was something obscure until i started using icloud and dropbox later on, but the cloud will definelly help this multi devide expereience here, expeacially for the youger people just annoyed by swapping a couple of things around

Physical media isn't gone though, in fact it's cheaper and more effective than ever. The Switch itself runs fine offline. MicroSD's are amazing. Gigabytes of data on something so small. On the PC you can buy a USB hard drive with terrabytes of storage at an affordable price. I still back up important files to blu-rays and dvds as well as multiple hard drives. Cloud is another option, but the fact is if you don't have something important saved in two different locations, it's always at risk. Accounts online get locked out, physical media fails too. Cartridges fail too. Nothing lasts forever. But I wonder why people are so quick to say that everything has to be on the cloud when storage has never been more affordable and compact.

You can only use cloud storage if you pay for Nintendo Online... I refuse... They dont need the money and $20 a year isn't expensive, but new joycons are... A screen cover is when the dock they supply scratches the system... The crack in the back of the case where the screw ports are isnt a fun replacement... And I didnt buy it to mod it, but... Eventually they will stop supporting it, and when that day comes, an unfortunate thing will happen... I wont buy their new system. I wont buy a new Playstation, I wont buy a new Xbox... Im done... UNLESS, Sega makes a Dreamcast 2... I could care less... Might aswell fight over which fast food place is better for you as it is... and my laptop, is like a nice steak diner I cooked myself. side of potatoes, maybe some vegetables sauteed in butter... See because, imitation is flattery, but, Nintendo Online, is NOT Xbox live... and I dont really care about Microsoft's Game Pass coming to Switch, I wont own any of those games and it will cost me, $120 a year... plus Nintendo tax of $20 = $140 a year to play them... Im tired of gaming being a job, gaming is supposed to be a relaxing affair. Coding IS a job, but I dont get paid to do it... and thats fine, I dont care to share what I havent already for free... Most of those projects were imitations, good ones ontop of that.
I just don't want to see you say, IT HAS CLOUD SAVING! when, that doesnt benefit people who aren't going to pay for that... I miss the days of a Memory card, being a memory card... rather than just a massive storage you need to buy because the company will not enforce conditions upon the developers to put every single line of code they can onto a... Cartridge in this case... and considering the games come out later for switch, you'd think it would force developers to not have any day one patches... Spyro what? im sorry, Wolfenstien New Blood who? Young Blood I: I personally could care less about FF7 Remake, its not FF7, Its whatever the last FF is with a FF7 skin, it's episodic?! and, no... things you cant even get in the old game if you pay extra, and then they complained previously to even doing the project that it would and i quote " Be too much WORK "
If you dont want to offer me an SD card option, thats cool... The hacking community already has that figured out. amongst other things like, live wallpapers for the homescreen, emulation of consoles and games I have already in a sense bought several licenses to play... some no sense at all, but, who cares about the WiiU virtual console... No one had a WiiU I: Either way, Im not worried about it... These companies already feel untouchable and... Ya, Ill buy Animal Crossing, never experience the online aspect and meh...
That Zelda part 2 is also unneeded, considering its what, the other half of the original game.... Let's be honest, How long does it take for a New Zelda game to be published... and if BoTW took like what, 4-5 years? and those 4 dungeons were amazing right.... like, and that Ganon Battle! OMG was that a challenge, especially his last form...
What I'm saying is, don't tell me about cloud saves like, thats actually a viable solution... Let me ask you, would you trust this entire programs source to be held on that cloud save? and no, you dont get an extra copy on your hard drive that you paid for thats in your computer... You know what, who needs 2 tb hard drives?! lets make an executable file, thats like, 666kb and then it will just redirect you to run the program off the internet.... because im so "afraid" no one will buy my product legally, I need EXTRA security...
I feel better now, and I will spank my children if they complain about putting in a cartridge...
Lazy is as lazy does... Im going to take away the movies I have painstakingly put into a digital format away and give them a VHS tape deck and tell them figure it out...
Theres a reason I have never sold my old consoles, why I take care of that Atari 2600, and fixed the laser in that $2 dreamcast I found at a yard sale...
because the minute they for no reason blow into that NES cartridge...
when they figure out the cheat code for fixing tracking on a VHS tape...That my friend, will be the saving grace... Digital IS AMAZING! but... Its also very stupid...
Also, lets say I want to share my game... You realize, having an enclosed system such that you have, could FORCE that shared file to never be shared by the recipient of that file... Let me see the source code of FUZE4... awww but thats different right?!
The sad part is, THIS MESSAGE WILL BE VIEWED HOSTILE! These are facts, I'm not disputing them with you. I told you once, you get to eat, I want to eat... SD cards having the ability to hold 2TB soon doesnt mean I want to fill it with games... I have an old PSP for that; I mean considering your just selling me older games anyway... SECRET OF MANA TRILOGY OMG!!! ON THE GO!!!! psp... I have a bigger stack of Switch games than Xbox One games, Im missing some games I want on my WiiU... but, switch beats that by 2 or 3....
and Its not like Nintendo NEEDS our money... But if people wanna give it to them for something they've recieved for years for free... enjoy the ride...
Cause, I see cheap plastic and All Digital editions in your future... and me, well... Ill still have my day one switch, my WiiU, my Xbox OG 360 and One, my DreamCast, My Playstation 1 and 2, My NES, SNES, GAMEBOY Colour and SP ( ORIGINAL fatboy got stolen ), THE N64 and the console grew up with, THE GENESIS! and the console that made me go, how do I plug this into a TV when i bought it from a thrift store as a child with a box of cartridges for $10... The Atari 2600... I also have a GAMEBOY Printer and a Sega Game Gear... :3 and you know what THATS how much I LOVE VIDEO GAMES! and it isnt the only part of my life... but, growing up, I was only ever wondering, if they could put THIS game on THIS! IMAGINE THE FUTURE!!! and, the future came and, the pixelated worlds got smaller, and the only thing that got bigger was the price tag... It's sad... and it disappoints me... and the only ones who can change it, OUR us...So thank you very much for creating FUZE, It gives me an outlet for my creations... You'll just never be able to play them... And I dont really care to play your games either, some are great ideas, bomberman would be fun, pacman looks great... Duck Hunt looks to be the best idea ive seen in a minute, was going to recreate that before switch myself, but, the system couldnt handle it and your idea is pretty brilliant. And Im sure after everyone gets a foothold, there will be a myriad of creations... I just don't like hearing the cloud excuse because Nintendo would rather put a vice grip onto your production because their afraid their hacked system with be hacked again, meanwhile looking the other way as all these companies push inadequate ports on undersized cartridges... <- if ones true, the other is aswell...
Oh, and I hate limited run games... But, I had to get Toejam and Earl and Dragon's Lair Trilogy...
hated the old toejam and earl, kinda hate the new one, and ive never player Dragon's Lair...
But, I grew up with the Genesis and Don Bluth cartoons... amongst other things...
Like... Alcoholics ;3Now I really feel better...
-
I also have a Virtual Boy, because... $15 at a yard sale is the coolest hat holding Neuralyzer I couldnt say no too... Came with Mario golf, tennis and Wario land so, I enjoyed them before getting a headache..
-
Man, that was a WALL of text. All I'll say on the subject right this moment is that a physical copy is not the simple decision people likely think it is. I'm not privy to this information but I'm not even sure that it is our decision to make anyway.
-
I FULLY get your point... I myself as I said before have a very hard time even thinking about clouds EXISTING and don't naturally consider the idea as useful.. mainly because I believe in physical media. I only have a few things downloaded on my Switch because I will be preferring cartridges over digital downloads.. but it's nice to have if I cannot find the cart in the store.. however I don't trust them NOT to edit my content when it's all digital.. ANYTHING on the cloud is ALWAYS OWNED BY THE CLOUD's OWNER.. if you put ANYTHING up in cyberspace for storage.. ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT and I assure you.. you WONT anymore.
The movies I have on Vudu are all already in my home and that's fine... but what happens when the movie's production company decides to DELETE scenes AFTER THE FACT and all you have access to is a digital copy? WELL THAT DIGITAL COPY GETS SILENTLY ERASED AND REPLACED BY THE NERFED UP ONE WITHOUT THAT CONTRAVERSIAL SCENE THAT 2 SNOWLFLAKES CRAPPED ALL OVER AND NOW EVERYONE HAS TO SUFFER WITHOUT IT??
NO SPANK YOU.I am with this guy above.... as far as digital vs physical is concerned.... and it's also the only thing that is now worrying me since I've already bought Fuze4.... I was not aware I could not access my work at all without the FUZE software and just to RUN it... not ever to TRULY save it ... so when the day DOES come and Nintendo has a new lover.. all of our data is GONE and we might as well have lost the ability to use the Fuze program if our programs are in a cloud... even if the data is on the memory card... without cloud service when Nintendo Live expires... how will you share ANYTHING to others? you wont be able to.. SO... why not FIX THIS NOW, Fuze4? Let us save our work to our memory cards fully intact with nothing left out.. even resources... and then provide a way to send the programs to our friends in our friend's list without having to share THROUGH the Fuze4 cloud?
-
Geez, Nintendo online isn't that bad a deal. They just added in Super Nintendo games.
-
@Hitomi WHEN? WHERE? Let me go see... do you MEAN that SNES titles ARE NOW IN FACT ON THE NINTENDO ONLINE LIST?
-
@Ancientspark - did you read my post above where I reply that when projects are shared they are stored on OUR servers?
-
@Ancientspark It was Friday night I think. It was in the eshop by Nintendo Online.
-
Yes I did read that ... and I consider that a form of a cloud.. they aren't stored in the Switch... By any means.. there are NO SNES TITLES in the NES Library.. it's still on last month's Gradius and Kong Fu stuff that got added... these titles are added immediately TO the NES library or are supposed to.... please tell me we don't have to download a separate software for SNES ....
-
I've had more cd-roms get scratched than have lost digital only games. And I'm not fondly remembering blowing into the cartridges when Zelda 2 doesn't want to start. So like all things it's a trade off. Nothing lasts forever. But for things you create yourself, always save a local copy and have a backup if you can. I think the cloud backup feature is backing up the save for FUZE so that means there's one local copy and one remote, that's the best that can be done right now.
-
It's not in the NES Library, it's another app on there
-
HITOMI... I read the NEWS every time the green light comes on... Ive searched the eShop and I've double-checked the NES ONLINE library... I do not see where they have added any SNES games to NES ONLINE... Ive heard they are GOING TO.. but that's all I've HEARD.... are you in a different REGION from me? Do I need to go look in another eShop?
-
@Hitomi said in Where does Fuze4 save your projects?:
It's not in the NES Library, it's another app on there
I did a SEARCH for SNES and for Super Nintendo. what comes up are any games with SUPER in the title.. SNES should have brought up an app for it and it did not. I am in the US.. could that be the problem?
-
Also.. @Hitomi why would they not have announced it?
-
I'm locking this thread now as it has gone way off topic.
