I forgot to post that my Euclidean Sequencer is now approved and ready for download. This is the first public version, and more of a fun toy at the moment, but I intend to keep working on it and make it into a useful music creation tool eventually.

A Euclidean sequencer is an alternative incarnation of the classic step sequencer that has become very popular in the modular realm. It is based on Euclidean rhythms developed by computer scientist Godfried Toussaint in 2004. Euclidean rhythms have their roots in Greek mathematician Euclid’s algorithm, which involves using the greatest common divisor of two numbers to place hits in a sequence as evenly as possible across set timing divisions.

Here is a video about another Euclidean sequencer which I have referenced a bit while working on mine. It introduces some of the concepts in a good way too:

For more instructions, read the comments at the top of my source file.

Currently, all the new drum sounds (and a few other useful samples) are available, so it is very much focused on rhythms, but eventually I will add in other instruments and melody making capabilities as well.

Please play around with it and let me know what you think!

@vinicity This is super, super cool, amazing work! Which reminds me, I need to start a project and try using your music library a some point.
