The new version is now live. You can now play the new additions I mentioned above. I am hoping to add a proper ending to the game and spice up some things then call it finished.

Not sure if my shares are working but finished level 1, gonna take a break from it and tidy up the code and add more levels at a later date.
Currently level 1 playable up untill you / if you beat the boss. 😊

I agree that the wall jump doesn’t feel quite “right”. Luckily you can use the wind magic to scale stuff instead!

I also had the issues with the respawn points, and I often instinctively shot a grapple hook as I was tumbling down into the abyss which caused some additional glitches.

A personal preference would be if there was an option to rebind the joy con keys? I’m not used to having the jump button as it is here…

It's been a long time but I finally have a new update! School has started for me so progress has been slow. This time I spiced up the boss fights, added some new power ups, and a title screen.

I just made a tiny alteration, making the scrolling speed on the intro faster. I know it's a weird change to make out of the blue months later but I felt like it. I'm currently close to releasing an improved version of the original game this is based on, and felt like I should go back to it. I think this time around I might submit it to the showcase gallery, despite it not having much depth

It’s a bit annoying not being able to start over. Maybe there could be an option to reset progress and start from the beginning again?

This is a lot of fun! Getting the timing right and seeing your swimmer reach the finish first makes me feel very accomplished. I would like to see how this evolves in future wips.

Great update! The game is both fun and frustrating, but mostly in a good way.
