Since twitter links are broken, here is the summary of the work i have done:
-added transparencies
-improved ui controls screen drawing
-added an assets management system to have better performance
-added layout anchors
-fixed text drawing

i seemed to of fixed all previous bugs collisions and death trigger. with the new controls in place it is easier to dodge terrain but now feels
a bit empty in spots so will update with some more enemy spawns perhaps.

Found some animated torches, (the Finalbossblues/torch was in the wrong order), and tinkered with the hit sound. Getting the sound right, was hard. I miss an option to play audio with an offset (meaning: having a parameter for the start second and the duration). After having the logic ready, I can probably complete it quite fast, just by using the map editor for the rest of the level.

You can now choose the car, it was a shame not to use the rest of the cars of the set, and the maximum speed: from very slow to really fast!
I was not able to make a 2 players version, maybe I'll try again in the future.

Map drawing, yes, many an hour spent playing and mapping the original Dizzy games which I found to be a great way of working through the puzzles and tricky coin distribution. The last homebrew 'Dizzy' map design I scribbled down was last year and I have previously used DizzyAge to produce a small game.

Lets face it, it would be amazing to see a new official DIZZY adventure on the Switch - or Amstrad cassette release, not picky...

I made a small update to this, but it is getting closer to a system that I can just add mission content to.

The player is limited to five homing missiles per mission. The missions have a log/dialog system, so that messages come up as the situation changes. I rearranged the third mission to avoid the slowdown I was experiencing. It still happens, but is a little less. As ever, little AI tweaks. The enemies have their quirks, but I enjoy seeing them chase the player around!

Little update. I'm not really happy with it as-is. we'll see how it develops ..or not. ;)

Thats not a bug. When the program is running, pressing minus takes a screenshot capture and uses it as the project thumbnail. The stutter you're seeing is just that background process running - the Switch only has so much of everything to go around.

@sys64738 I would like to have a chat on discord with you, maybe you drop by one day? I experimented with LFO and somehow I cannot completely match others real synth behaviors to the FUZE synth, but probably I just don't understand them well enough. I am a beginner with synths.

It feels like mod freq, is controlling the rate and mod scale the depth. But then, what is controlling the pitch? But somehow you came to the point that mod scale is the FM ratio. ;-?
