These are possibly all on your radar already, but here are a few things I'd like to see added to improve ease of use:
Code editor
- CTRL+left/right arrows to move a word at a time.
- (Un)indenting several lines at once when pressing tab/SHIFT+tab with multiple lines selected.
- A search/replace function.
- The ability to toggle overwrite mode (admittedly I only want this so I can edit my string-based levels more easily :p )
- The ability to move the cursor to the current screen position when scrolling with the right stick. Sort of like how you can tap the screen when in handheld mode.
Image editor
An option to also paste the transparency when pasting. In other words, completely replacing the target with the source.Edit: I realised you can just cut the old image to delete it to transparency first.- A fill tool.
-
A search hotkey for the coding would be excellent, and something I often find myself wanting.
For the image editor, I’d like to be able to change the background colour (drawing black on a charcoal canvas is difficult) and also to flip selected sections.
My main wish is for a music editor - nothing fancy; I’m picturing something like the one from Mario Paint - where can save a creation to use in your programs.
-
+1 for search function in the editor.
Would also vote for a folder / directory structure for the 'My Programs' area. I'm accumulating a great list of sample programs, but it's getting less easy to find my practice ones.
Keep up the good work!

Just Curious. Any thoughts from the Fuze team on whether or not some of these (or others) might make the next patch?
-
The next patch (2.15) will be bug fixes and the Player. The plan then is to release a series of small bug fix patches in quick succession (2.15.1 etc). The next new feature patch 2.16 will come after that

Thanks @pianofire for the update!

@pianofire I was thinking, now that the plan is to have releases occurring more often, maybe it is time to open an official wish list thread again, where we could put stuff that we would love to have in future releases?
-
The problem is, it's kind of pointless. It just becomes a huge long thread that you can't find anything in and the same things get repeated over and over because nobody is going to look through a thread that is pages and pages long before posting. Without it being another maintenance task for someone to look after i don't really see an easy way to resolve that. Unless we publish a roadmap, which we know users would like but is incredibly difficult to stick to and more likely than not to just bring dissapointment when we don't get to the things that we say we will do.
-
I second that. We already have a very long list. Maybe when we have reduced it a bit we can do something
-
Maybe the new Fuze Player will help with this.
However, as someone dusting off their old programming skills, I've found myself downloading a lot of example programs. Really want a way to sort or organize them for easier reference. It's getting beyond a manageable quantity now.
-
Yes me too I have over 300 now

Tell me about it! I desperately want folders. I know we are getting folders soon but not user created ones, so although they are nice and welcome, it doesn't really help.
My projects page is getting absurd right now, wish there was a way of tidying it up.

@SteveZX81 I agree with you. I'd like to be able to create folders for user-created demos and one for user-created finished games. And then my own of the same. That's 4 custom folders right there.
Then maybe one for WIP, one for NeverTouchingAgainUgh, etc.
