I like this game. It's fun, the controls are smooth, The animations and art is pretty good. Good job!! Ok some feedback, Maybe you could add some power ups? Maybe one that gives your ship a shield for a short period of time? Or one that enhances your lasers, allowing you to shoot multiple lasers maybe.
But a really nice game.

Thanks for the feedback I'll see about implementing those in the future, as for now I'm working on my showcase submission and perfecting it with some extra polish and features... trying to get it showcase ready plus a little more!

I like the drilling ufo sprite, and self made buttons, and the use of a low resolution mode. I have to explore these modes a bit more. Hey and all below 300 lines. Well done.
