Steve and Vinicity had let me know that they would like to create a game for a game jam this weekend. However, there wasn’t any game jam organized yet, so I was asked to host one. Of course I could not say no to that, so that’s exactly what this post is about:

Theme: Fish

Stream: Sunday September 26th 2021 at 20:00 CEST / 19:00 BST / 18:00 GMT

This will be the second time I host such an event, and it’s to some extend similar to the official game jam events. However this one is not organized by the FUZE team themselves, so it will not be exactly the same.

Here is how it's going to work:

The theme is fish the game (or program) needs to do something with this theme. The theme does not need to be the theme of the game, but it needs to be used in the game (or program)
Make sure that you submit your game really early! This is not a normal game jam, I do not have access to games that have not been through the approval process by the FUZE team! So don't wait until the last day to submit your game!!
Because I don't have access to the games beforehand, it's a good idea to mention as a reply to this forum post that you would like to join with your game. You could send me the game id beforehand via a private message on the forum or discord, or via the chat during the stream.
It is required for the program to make it through the default approval process of the FUZE team (I need to be able to download it using a game ID).

Stream Details
The stream will be on https://twitch.tv/pb4_ on Sunday September 26th 2021 at 20:00 CEST / 19:00 BST / 18:00 GMT. Mark it in your agenda's and make sure you're there to cheer on the developers and try out their games with me!

It is also possible to follow me on https://twitch.tv/pb4_ and choose if you want to turn on notifications to get notified whenever I start to stream.

I will be using a microphone, but not a camera.
I will have a strong Dutch accent, but I know how to English.
Streaming, and being social in general, doesn't come natural to me, but lets try to make it a fun event together:)

Submit your game in time!
Don't wait until the last day to submit your project for the stream! It needs to be approved by the FUZE team for me to be able to access it using a Game ID.
This event is not their initiative, so we should not put the stress om them of approving the games on the last day...

Anything I’ve missed?
Feel free to discuss below. I don’t do this every day, and it’s supposed to be an event by the community and for the community. So all ideas are welcome, but because I’m the host, I decide which ideas are good

It's nice to see the enthusiasm for the not-a-game-jam on Discord! People have been working hard on their idea's and games. So make sure you join the FUZE Discord if you want to stay in the loop of that part of the community.

Also the stream will be on Sunday (as I've updated in the post). The exact time will follow soon.

I updated it, still not complete but have added in checkpoints and drawn some more map for the water section. No water enemies yet but they will come!

@waldron That's brilliant, I would love to play more of this :)

Also I feel like I could have played more of the Puzzle Pisces levels by Vinicity on stream, but I was running out of streaming stamina after 2 hours, but I'll definitely play more levels off stream as well :)
