labyrinth curse of the poisoned prince
-
Iv got a concept made out of cardboard which has been play tested in physical form and worked really well! which il hopefully find and share in the thread if not il make another one to help get the idea across but for now this is the idea...
Labyrinth ( the poisoned prince)
The prince has been poisoned so prepare your pants for spoilage as your about to embark on an adventure into the labyrinth to retrieve the anti-dote make it back out alive save the prince to be knighted on your valiant return.the game comprise's of:
game board
moving game disc board
2 Dice
weapon cards
spell cards
4 players -each with there own attributes. to be decidedthe board is fixed with a rotating disc on top with cut out player spaces
dice 1 moves the player
dice 2 rotates the disc
the disc has 9 circles each with player spaces sectioned, some spaces are cut out revealing a door or trap or a card pickup
a door will allow you to enter an inner circle so on.
so the player spaces change if the player is in a cutout tile and can change on other peoples turns .
will make more sense when i share the picture of the concept.
when a player uses a card the game could go into a different screen and allow target player to defend themselves or use a counter spell or card,
there could be in game enemy's pretty open to ideas.
so get to the center, get back out, win. -
Count me in!!! That sounds fun.
-
Definitely watching this.

@waldron if this is going to happen I think we should make everything so no game assets.
With the exception of music if no one wants to do that. What does everyone else think?
-
Would pretty much have to be our own assets due to it being an original creation :)
-
This sounds really cool! I could see how you could break pieces off for different people-- "you do sprite art, you do tile art, you write the audio code, you write the graphics code", etc.
The only question I can see is how to handle integration without source control. It's like we'd need to hand off the master project using a shared Google Doc for whomever "has" it at that moment.

think i will put this on the back burner for now untill my coding gets better its a mammoth of a task,
but to replace it i am now working on prince of persia (nes version) iv done 2 animation states all pixel perfect with slight improvements il upload the full animation sprite sheets into a program for others to use -
oh good grief - i want to see this! (i mean that in the nicest way!)
-
Will we ever come back to this???
-
@LinkCraft I might actually make a start on this although with what I now know with coding it doesn't seem like an easy task. A good start point I suppose is to get the dice working but then for the dice to control up to 4 players in turn scares me of again

I found it :) been refitting my kitchen and found my original build of this game il share some pictures hopefully later. Iv got a lot of projects im working on but feel like i can start tackling a primitive build of this game
