How to post a picture in the forums?

I want to post a code for a program, but I don't know how to include a picture of what the program looks like in my post. When I click the picture icon, HTML code shows up, but I'm not an HTML coder. Can someone please show a complete noob how to get the picture from my Switch to the forums?

I think there is a way to share videos from your Nintendo switch to twitter which you can then put the link in a post on here (like a lot of other posts in the work in progress section) - To do a video just hold the capture button on the left joycon. Or you can just take a video/picture of it on a camera/phone and post it here

@Tranceaholic I had the same issue when I joined, upload onto twitter/facebook then copy/share ..
I Don't use the link button I just hold down on the text box and paste -
If you click the upload image button rather than the picture one it will let you upload the image and embed it
