@pianofire you're right. it does have a good share of scenery, depending on where you're at. which places have you been to? for me its Alberta, northern BC, and southern ontario. oh and Montreal.

@pianofire yeah you visited some of the best spots. I went to Banff for the first time last year, and it was breathtaking

@DomDom LOL you know what... we did a great job! I'm currently treading water as I'm typing this message out. I have nothing to fear! (except for maybe water damage!)

Fear of failure? I don't have that fear. Perhaps if I was coding something important like NASA's orbital paths sending a man to Mars I'd have reason to be scared of failure but as I'm making a little game that only a handful of people will play, it really makes no difference if my game is 100% finished or just abandoned as it's not important.

I prefer it that way though.

@SteveZX81 i guess perspective plays a big part in this. since i take everything i make really seriously, even a little game becomes important. but i’m glad to hear that you don’t feel it!

@moonflower I personally say my self never give up. And if i fail in fuze what can happen ? Every mistake is a new step in the learning process. I am on a very very hard project in fuze. I am also not very good at programming but sometimes you have to say yourself to not give up. And if things get complex ? Try to find a away to your goal. Very important is that you dont set your self under preasure. For me even the smallest things i made right are a reason to be happy and to keep doing.

For me it helps to do one thing at the time, and make sure I finish it before I do something else.

For example, while I was working on my Solitaire game, I already had ideas for other games. But I wanted to complete a game within the deadline for the FUZE player, so I decided not to take up another project, but first finish Solitaire in stead. That kind of mindset does help to complete things.

One time managing method you could look into to help against procrastination is Getting Things Done (GTD). Or if you have a lot on your plate and want to take it a step further than that, you could look into agile management methodologies like Kanban (to organize your time for all sorts of tasks popping up) or Scrum (to organize your time dedicated to a single project). Those agile management methodologies are probably more than you need for your personal battle against procrastination though, but they are methods that are often used in professional software projects and software maintenance.

@moonflower It was a seaside holiday town. It was very busy in the summer and very quiet in the winter

And now it’s busy all year round with p**heads and there’s virtually no arcades. Such a shame.

I live in Blackpool mate, from 76 to the late 80's it was utter heaven for arcade fans like myself but not anymore, most arcades have closed down, the rest now have crap like bingo machines and the latest fad which seems to be grabber machines. and yes here too with the p...heads and dr...heads. it's a shame.
