Hey everyone, how’s it going post-patch?
-
As poor as it is, I've only just had time to upgrade to the latest patch last night but so far all I've had to do is replace a couple of 'bool' and 'handle' instances with 'ints' and thats only in my very early stuff because of course I had insider knowledge that this was happening so stopped doing that a long time ago now. Beyond that, no issues for here.
-
All the stuff I've checked seems to be working fine. Only had an issue with arrays in one section of wormhole and I'm still not sure why it happened.
Still trying to think of a use for ref? Guess I'll know it when I see it. -
I’ve had a quick look and none of my games work - i need to find some time to go through the help on the forum and hopefully they are quick fixes. If I can’t do it I’ll be asking for help, cos I was hoping my ZX RPG and my Dizzy game could both be contenders for the Fuze Player :)

Absolutely fine just had to resize some collision boxes same as Steve just moving forward.
-
@AndyG1985 I'm still to beat your dizzy game that croc jump is a .. ........ Lol
-
@waldron That’s a good bit of feedback, maybe I should code the rope to tie round its snout :). I think I should also make the rock you’re meant to pickaxe a different colour. I actually found a cheap capture card to record a playthrough, but this update set me back a bit. It’s coming though!
-
@AndyG1985 it's fine as is but a option to tie his mouth would be cool, I'm a big fan of dizzy youv done it justice.
-
All good. I did not do much with sprites yet, and the only sprite-game I did, I used modified collision shapes, so, it looks like I get along without troubles.
Actually the media-browser is super cool, and the Super Mega Arena Blaster from Will Tice was massively extended (>70 lines commenting new features/fixes), a lovely Dizzy game from Philip and Andrew, and Know Your Plaice from Kat game are my favorite new features. And I am glad about all the code updates, and probably heavy debugging and testing sessions, for the new stability. -
For me, as far as I found out so far, the the only project that I had to fix with was "slimy cravings". So the update went a lot better for my codebases than I expected :)
-
Having pondered on it for a few days I've come to the decision that once my latest game is submitted (Fruitopia) I will spend some time fixing the issues with my old games. Might not do them all but i'll spend a couple of days on them and see what happens.
-
That’s great, @SteveZX81!
I didn’t mention it in my previous post, but all my shared projects have been tested and fixed for 2.15. It wasn’t that much work, to be honest, just a few lines here and there.

@SteveZX81 what do we have to do to see your Subs in the showcase? Actually I would even more like to see it on the FUZE Player. Imagine: lazy evening, dont want to start FUZE itself, just the player, so I cant work on anything, just enjoy some bare bone old school. Swiping through the gallery, and enjoying all these pieces of hard work. Subs has to be part. 😉

That's really nice of you but I don't think it's worthy. The showcase should be for the real quality games.

It is so worthy! It should be in the Showcase, for sure!

Submit it, and let us be the judge of whether it's worthy or not! Hint: I'm pretty sure it is...
