Fruitopia (as complete as it's going to get)
-
Fruitopia is my latest game, it is approx 95% finished but I'm tired of it and don't plan on doing any more work on it.
The game is quite playable but may contain bugs (sorry)
it is a simple platform game where you aim to collect all the fruit to proceed to the next level. There are two types of enemies, the dark coloured guards who only patrol left and right and don't move levels, and the light blue hunter who will head for you and change levels.
Tomatos will spawn from time to time and you can collect one and hurl it at the enemies (hitting the guard will stun him for a time so you can pass him, hitting the hunter will make him run off screen to clean himself up and then return later)
The game is not quite complete, as it lacks an end after you've collected all the different fruit but it was release it like this or let it rot forever in my projects list.

Great stuff, another addictive, professional-looking game! My high score so far is a paltry 171

@DomDom said in Fruitopia (as complete as it's going to get):
It looks like it is worth finishing. When it comes to finishing jobs, I'm no one to speak. But 5% .. you can do it.
Thanks but nope, I've had more than enough of it now. Time to move on to other things. ;)

This version has many very important bug fixes which were very kindly done by our own @vinicity and he's fixed so many issues that I thought it was only right he had his name on the titlescreen next to mine.Download the game and hopefully it'll be more fun now!

What a lovely piece of work this is! I was so pleased to see it finally made a release. Personally I reckon it would be great if someone could add an end sequence and maybe a persistent high-score.
Steve, I have to say that the level of polish on this game really stands out. It's so very slick and plays really well. And, man alive, it's addictive!
