What is going on with this? Nobody is really saying much now...

@Ancientspark I'm just busy rocking in the corner ..
Realised stuff I'm posting can be worked out if I go through the tutorials more
But mostly I'm not explaining my posts enough for the help I need and when I do get help I dont understand the answers .... think its because theres not just one way to do things which is where I get lost.
The tutorials are great but only shows you one way in a certain way...
I'm dyslexic but find fuze great to use but literally need full tutorials for each method if possible -
@waldron Hi Waldron, this must be frustrating for you. Try using screenshots of your code or the running programs to explain problems. A picture paints a 1000 words! I am sure that there will be more tutorials soon
-
@Discostew The bugs are unfortunate. I will not say that we are where we would want to be but please bear with us and we will get there
-
A lot of people are just heads-down, busy creating stuff. There is so, so much that can be created, bugs, warts and all.
-
@pianofire my main issue atm is the 2d game tutorials work great but I'm using the gothic vania build but I cant apply items and enemies. I think it's the for loop part not marrying up with the rest of the code
-
@waldron I know that there are issues with sharing at the moment but can you share even a partial code listing as a screenshot?
-
Sure il post some screen shots hopefully this may explain my predicament give me 10 mins
-
-
Basically... if I follow the tutorial for 2d game I can get items ect but it doesn't have a collide array it's fixed for my player to land on the tiles I place, which sucks because i want to draw my level around my character. I would use back grounds but I cant seem to get them working
-
So iv built the same game 3 times using different methods the method I want to use the gothic vania way is great but I cant get items or enemy's to work

It really is a busy time i'm afraid. FUZE is also not the only company we run as we also have a software reseller (celebrating 10 years as of last month). The problem is that we're coming up to Christmas and doing everything we can to increase the user base of F4NS - believe me when I say this is our core objective. More users = more fun! Well, for us it also means more money which means the more we can progress FUZE.
The other thing we're doing right now is preparing the next F4NS update / patch. The most important part of this is full blown sharing - This also leads to the showcase section on the arena which is so desperately needed. Add to that a few new 3D functions, huge improvements on the map editor, a whole load of bug fixes. If things go to plan we should be in for a great Christmas update!

@waldron I will try to have a look at this tomorrow!
-
PS: The forum isn't really much quieter than usual - there's a steady trickle of posts all the time. Just look at the dates on the recent posts link

@pianofire cheers I know you guys are busy

So I admit work has been crazy lately due to WALMART being what it is.. but I finally got a better USB keyboard to dedicate to the Switch.. and I have the weekend off and come here.. and where is all the discussion these days? a lot of messages are over a week old or better.. what's up everybody? We gotta keep it alive in here ok? Is there a brick wall we are hitting here or something I missed?
According to the stats, the forum is actually as busy or busier than it has ever been. Where/why are you under this impression it is quiet here? We've got more users than we've ever had, we had the most online at once just 2 days ago and had a peak page views just 4 days ago.

I don't disagree we need more exposure, just not sure where @Ancientspark is getting the idea that we are quiet here!

@Ancientspark For me it's been a combination of two things:
First, I'm on a major project at work where I'm spending entire blocks of days in intense concentration, painstakingly writing and unit testing thousands of lines of C#. The last thing I feel like doing in the evenings is more programming! Thankfully, I'm at the end of the road with that work, finally.
Second, there's been a flurry of games I've been playing, including "Dragon Quest XI S" on Switch, "The Outer Worlds" on Windows, and now "Pokémon Shield" also on Switch. And "Shenmue III" comes out in like two days too!
So long story short, it's been absolutely zero down to flagging interest in Fuze. I'm also "saving up" all of the work I have gotten done in my game, so I can "big bang" of substantial progress to show all at once.

As in, great, but once you get past the bright lights and the shiny things, ultimately a bore-fest.
