if it's a constant rate or similar then just track the X/Y co-ordinates, updating them frame by frame and then supply them just the same? I might need to better understand what you want to do...

Time to revisit this, brand new map level and skater sprite, now i'm using maps how does items translate from the way i'v done it before using the level array.
or is it just the same but instead of col and row is it just a matter of plotting the items to the screen?

@waldron There is a feature in the Map Editor update called marked locations (not the same as marked areas) - it allows you to place a flag on a location in your map and give it a name. These can be accessed with getMapLocation( locationName ) to return the coordinates needed to place the items.

Very cool. Very fluent animation, decent shadow effect.

@waldron Such a subtle and awesome effect. I love how dark the atmosphere is behind, and yet he's just skating, carefree :)

Aww, you stopped before he went down the stairs - I was interested to see that bit :P

PS: I have the opposite problem right now. I'm sat here in the evenings doing nothing because the light bulb has gone off and I've generally run out of power!

iv got an entirely new project i want to start along the others, hoping i can tie it into the theme for the up and coming game jam plus many others.
hope the light returns just do as the ramones do keep it simple ;) and dont think of the work that it entails just run with it.
i'd quite like to see a version of your y.a.s.s game but flying through a cave level built it the map editor :)

Well, I'm not a million miles off "finishing" that game (just saving the score table and adding some variation in terms of enemies, levels and difficulty) and have been wanting to do something like Chaos Engine or Alien Breed for a while now which will involve all the intircacies of maps. Just burnt out at the moment. I've been up to a lot of stuff in the background that nobody will ever see.

@Martin thats the brave work of developers, like cleaning persons, security guards. Fixing the stuff nobody knows. But it keeps the system running at the end.
