Fuze Player Help!

So I thought the purpose of Fuze Player was to share your games with friends and family that would otherwise have no interest in development and spend $20 on the full Fuze just to try out your game. I had some friends buy the Fuze Player so they could try out a game I had been working on over the week and give me some feedback. We could not figure out how to share my game. There was no way to enter a code and they had no option to go to the friends section in share. Am I just missing something here?
If you can't share games with the Fuze Player I don't get what the purpose of it is; to play random people's half baked games? This should be called Fuze Collections. You wouldn't sell a DVD Player and then say it can only play these select titles? You would assume it plays all DVDs.

The purpose of it, afaik, is to let people try out some stuff built with fuze, and check out the code, so they can see what it’s like without having to buy the full thing. It was intended to be completely free of charge, but nintendo wouldn’t allow it without some apparently non-trivial reworking, so they decided to put it up for sale at the lowest possible price.
You’re not the only person with this complaint. Maybe the text description on the eshop page should be changed to make it clearer that it’s a curated selection of games, and not access to the full set of shared games. I don’t know. A name change at this point is apparently not so easy.
Maybe you can take some comfort in the fact that you too can be a random person with a less than fully-baked game, and that you too can submit your game as a candidate for the player and your friends could eventually get to play it?
I agree that it sucks that fuze player doesn’t work the same as rpg maker player. Maybe in the future things will change..

@HeavyByte Sorry that you haven't had the experience you were hoping for with the Fuze Player.
We felt that the description was clear that the Player is for playing the included Fuze Games and Showcase Gallery games. To be extra sure, we'll be adding a little more clarity to the product page.
The Fuze Player is first and foremost a marketing tool to increase the exposure of the main Fuze application. It serves as an accessible way to see what's possible with Fuze4 Nintendo Switch for people who aren't ready to bite the bullet on the main application.
Secondly, the Player is all about the Showcase Gallery. A selection of programs made with love and dedicaiton by members of the Fuze community. The Player is an incentive for users to get their creations on there, appearing in the Player and seen by the world over.
I hope you can appreciate that there is also a moderation concern when it comes to the prospect of anybody who is able to purchase an 80p product downloading any program/game whatsoever, especially given that we are a small team.

@SteveZX81 Well said, Sir. Over the years I've attempted more have baked
game ideas then I care to remember. Most are incomplete but a couple I'm pleased with - Wolf3d in Python, spinning wire cube in Python, C, QBasic and Fuze4. Not much to shout about and that's why HeavyByte is completely missing the idea behind Fuze4.

@SteveZX81 sorry, I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings I am mainly just frustrated because Fuze is supposed to be a creative, sandbox but if I can't easily share ideas to iterate on the process than it doesn't feel much like an open, creative, sandbox.
I am a developer myself so I understand how much time and effort goes into these things. I don't think people on here should be so sensitive about the feedback. You should understand that Fuze is a language to help teach people programming concepts but lacks many features that would make Fuze truly viable for a production game. Not to mention that most games sold on the eshop have whole teams behind them. It is amazing what you guys have created with such a limited ecosystem.
I am sorry about the "halfed baked" comment. I am just really frustrated that none of my friends and family can try out my own crappy games without paying $20. Which I know any game I make would not be worth anything close to that.

@faz808 I don't think I am missing the point of Fuze at all. Fuze is about the process, creativity, and collaboration as a community. It was never about creating production games for an online shop, which is what the Fuze Player is marketed as currently.
I feel like Fuze stifles creativity by not allowing us to share our progress and get feed back from people that don't pay full price for a development platform. That would be like saying I can't show a picture I made in photoshop to anyone unless they buy photoshop themselves.

But if photoshop was the only programme that could display a photoshop image it would be the equivelant to a photoshop viewer that allowed viewing but not editing or creation tools. If photoshop also happened to be on Nintendo switch and some person, anybody, could create any content they were able and release a code that would enable any person with the photoshop viewer to view any image they had created or imported that would be something that would not be allowed by Nintendo... Is my understanding.
But through an approval process this becomes possible.
However if you had the full version of photoshop you would then have to be approved by a lesser process to share with other full version users and no approval necessary for sharing with your friends (as per Nintendo switch friend code).
And that is as far as I can tell exactly as this situation is. -
@Maxwello I'm just asking to share a private code with my friends and family? Why is there so much concern over moderation for private sharing? I'd understand more if I was talking about sharing anything I made publicly. Maybe I am just accustome to all the freedoms of most other development or creation software.
I feel like playing a family member's game and seeing it improve over time would encourage someone to buy Fuze than someone randomly coming across the player.

Actually, the idea that a fuze player owner could IF SWITCH Friends with you could have access to your shared fuze programmes via the player is not something I would fault at all and perhaps that specifically had not been considered?
