I'd start with 2d or a single screened game,
It's very worth it using the sample games loading them up and just customizing them
So you learn where to put code and what does what it helped me immensely!
Still worth holding onto your project as it's great to add to it as you learn.

There will be a few updated demo programs added to Fuze in an upcoming patch which contain a better foundation for using the map and sprite commands with player controls. This should really help here!

No tutorial as such but you press the screenshot button on the left joycon (long press for the last 30s of video). Then, on the switch you go to the gallery on the home page. From there you have options to edit the video (if it was a video) and assuming you have linked your Twitter and Nintendo accounts, upload.

I'm sure Nintendo must have instructions for all of this somewhere since it's not specific to Fuze.

OR, you could power off the switch (annoying!), remove the SD card, and copy the screenshot or video off of the SD card to some online service (such as twitter).

I do similarly for my text adventure, but I didn’t create a function for it like you did. I should replace all those double drawtext calls with this.

There seems to be something wrong with arrays that causes type errors under heavier usage, will make another bug post about it shortly

You can use array of structures and iterate over an array and access the element of the structure. Don't have my switch here (so unfortunately can't take a look into help), but here's what I've done:
struct terrainElement
float elevation
integer hashIndex
endStruct

terrainElement terrainMap[4096]

for i=0 to elementsNo loop
print(terrainMap[i].elevation)
repeat

The main benefit is that doing graphics in huge batches like this and then calling an 'update' function makes performance much better.
Basically you'd be able to do way more graphics text and other stuff before FUZE slows down with the update thing in place than without it.
