I am a retired school teacher and counselor. My favorite class was called Far Out Science. It was a free form class where each student could choose what he wanted to learn within the STEM subjects. Programming was always one of the student's favorites.
I still delve into teaching. Extra curricular project based teaching is still on tap. I hope to use Switch Fuze, the Raspberry Pi, Interactive Fiction and robotics to get the students engaged and into science.

@jlgreer1 That sounds amazing! Welcome aboard! I am a massive fan of interactive fiction. Have you tried the inform compiler for creating games? Absolutely incredible bit of software.

Arrgh. I can't purchase the game....
It is morning here in the US. I have a long weekend and hope to be able to experiment.
Thank you, Jeff

@jlgreer1 I am still at work. I will do in 3 more hours...

Been playing with it for a few hours now, I'm quite scared at how much I have to learn but it's incredibly exciting too and the community and devs are so helpful and friendly!

@SteveZX81 It's a lot to take in but what I would reccomend is take it one byte at a time (get it?). I am finding that if I do 1 or 2 tutorials a day and stay dedicated to that schedule that I am able to retain my knowledge gained while also starting fresh each day so things don't get mixed up in my head (the number of lessons you can do a day may vary from person to person so just find a schedule that works for you and stick to it :) ).
