Hello all! I’ve been having a lot of fun working with FUZE4 on my Switch with a few 2D games.

I’d like to create a coin-pusher game in 3D (the ones you drop or shoot coins to the back and then try to push the ones along the front edge over) but am not sure where to start. Is there anything built-in to handle 3D physics and/or collisions? Any help would be appreciated - thank you!

Hi there, a good place to start would be the tutorials (if you haven't already). There are 4 specifically on 3D:

        https://fuzearena.com/help/view/3D Simple Shapes

        https://fuzearena.com/help/view/3D Simple Lighting

        https://fuzearena.com/help/view/3D Simple Rotation

        https://fuzearena.com/help/view/3D Camera Movement

I am afraid that there isn't currently a built-in physics engine so you will have to model that yourself.

3D Collision detection is supported in the next patch which is still being tested at the moment

Holy god almighty did you just say the next patch is bringing 3d content??? Please share my guy! Model making? Texture mapping? I'm actually more hyped then I need to be lmao

@Zypher @pianofire said that the next patch is bringing in 3D collision detection - which would make your object pushing a walk in the park.

Sadly, and I hate to get your hopes down, it will not be introducing anything like model making or texture mapping.

However! It IS bringing in an incredibly simple way to create object groups, and with some creative placement of 3D objects, this is a rudimentary way of creating models. A 3D model editor is something we'd love to include though, but one step at a time!
