Subs 2 - Dive Dive Dive!

That's looking great @SteveZX81
I've also made a mental note to check the volume of my laptop before clicking links in future!! That beep almost hurt given the laptop was on full volume (blame video conferencing for that and people that don't know how to turn up their mic levels)
-
oh heck, I'm sorry about that.

Why? Did you turn my volume up :D

Love it Steve. Simple, minimal but very cool and effective. Oh and it's 1337 hours exactly that you get the champagne.
-
That title screen is excellent - consistent with the style of the gameplay so it has a very distinctive feel.
My hours are 165, making it my most-played title by a clear margin! -
Little update video.
Additions:
Ship type 4 drops depthcharges
depthcharges rotate and drop
boat hit effect when one reaches the bottom of the screen
damage control panel added
random section damaged when a depthcharge detonates.
depthcharges are red and flash on the radar
sound effect added when you 'rotate' periscopeI'm not sure how loud the sound is, so beware!
-
Small update (although it was a royal pain to get working)
1: Depthcharges only damage your boat if they are within the red danger zone on the minimap (not sure you can see it well on the twitter video) (as suggested by Martin)
2: random cracks added sometimes when you are hit. ..I'm not 100% sure about this, we'll see. -
Excellent mate

I loved Gato 1984 and drived hours from the top left to the lower right corner of the map to find the enemies ;-) and Silent Service 1990 was great too. I see your version here becoming a master piece as well.
By the way the cracks are creating pressure, I like them. Will diving, switching from diesel to battery until running out of power, launch debris to sneak away be a topic? But maybe this turns the game to much away from a fast arcade version. -
I would love to move away from a simple arcade game to something epic like Silent Service, I really loved that game, but there's no way I could do something like that currently, so sadly we have to make do with with one view and no diving or surfacing.
-
looks cracking that
-
I like the cracks!
-
Looks absolutely brilliant this. I do like the cracks also. Fuze Team must be over the moon when they see things like this being shared
-
@SteveZX81 Nice animation 👍👍👍
This looks like you have spent lots of time on the code and painstakingly drawing the graphics. Well done 😊
Was wondering how you created the periscope. Was that in code or drawn? It looks like you are masking the sea with it. Very cool however you did it.
-
@pugmartin - "over the moon" is such an understatement - Quite honestly it is difficult to express in words the emotions of joy and pride we experience on a day-to-day basis. The talent that is either developing here or is being attracted here is truly staggering.
Thank you - great stuff is coming!

Damit @SteveZX81 - we never even thought about recognition for 1,000 hours. I was never overly fond of achievements but I think you alone have proved we should be recognising the incredible achievements being created and shared with the community. We'll start thinking about it for sure.

I was only having a joke mate, please don't add achievements haha, I really am not a fan of the silly things ;)

@SteveZX81 You do want a T-shirt though!
-
That is exactly what I was thinking - merchandise to earn, not buy. Well, maybe both as man alive we need some money!
